In a week that we’ve celebrated International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day here in the UK, here’s another slice of female fabulousness. The wonderful Kat Stanley-Whyte is joining Veronica Di Pietrantonio at Viajante87.
As far as we’re concerned, it’s a match made in heaven. With Kat’s love for and winning ways with agave spirits and the gorgeous Latin American flavour going down at Viajante87, cocktail lovers are in for a real treat when the two join forces. And she can’t bloody wait.
“It’s been an honour to be a part of the iconic Savoy bar team but there was definitely a part of me that missed the creative freedom that comes with being in an independent team,” she tells us, explaining her departure from the iconic American Bar which she announced last month. “Pietro and Veronica have been people that I have continuously looked up to and learned from throughout my career and to have this opportunity to still grow and develop my skills as an industry professional is a dream.”
“We never stop growing, improving, mastering and Viajante87 is a place where I can do that whilst regaining my roots in agave spirits – the back bar is full of them! It’s going to be something truly special, it already is, and I can’t wait for y’all to enjoy what fun in a bar means again.”
